ABBYY PDF Transformer comes in a variety of languages, provides a good help file and, best of all, lets you apply passwords and restrict editing of the documents you create. It also limits both the number of times you can save a document and the length of time you can use the trial version for.

In fact, there are so many different variations on the restrictions that it is a little difficult to figure out exactly what you can do and when. Another problem I discovered was that in the PDF to other document option, Abbyy PDF Transformer only saves the first two pages, rather than limiting you to two pages overall. This is irritating, as the title page is often not the most useful in a document. Work with any type of PDF. What early good is a software without some instruction??

I received this ABBY software witch said it performed all these good things but I cannot figure any of it out. Absolutely NO instructions came with it even when it had to be installed from a CD. How complicated is it to add a word or heavens this is a PDF application a PDF telling you what it does and how to use the software.

The only screen is a link to download the full version. Why would I download a full version is I cannot find out what it is suppose to do. A better answer would be to include a full trial version with all the instructions and a final trial date just like Adobe does with their software. So, I am just deleting it from my system and saying that is another stupid company trying to sell me something I must not need. Do you recommend it?
